On January 23, 2014, the Retail Litigation Center released its 2013 Annual Report, which provides an overview of the twenty briefs that the Center filed in 2013. The Center is non-profit membership association open to all retailers and select law firms. Its briefs argued positions on behalf of the retail industry on diverse litigation topics such as class action certification standards, labor and employment issues, and interchange regulations. And courts are increasingly taking notice of the Center’s arguments. In one case this year, the U.S. Supreme Court specifically cited to the Center’s amicus brief. The entire report can be found here.
